ABOUT

After 25 years working as a curator and senior curator at Australian art museums including QAG-GOMA and the AGNSW and specialising in Australian art (late 19th century to early 21st century), I am now a freelance curator and writer on the visual arts.  My specific areas of expertise are Australian art history and curatorship, and I have a particular interest in Australian three-dimensional art practice, and in the relationships formed between Indigenous and non-Indigenous art and artists through the lens of modernism.  I am committed to the role and impact of Australian art in shaping Australian and international audiences’ cultural experiences, their understanding and their pleasure.
